Frequently asked questions
What if I’m not sure therapy will “work” for me?
That’s a fair question. Therapy isn’t something that’s done to you. It’s something we build together. I show up fully present, engaged, and invested in the work. And your willingness to show up honestly and consistently matters just as much.
What ages do you work with?
I work with individuals ages 13 and older.
Do you accept insurance?
I don’t accept insurance. However, I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help make therapy more accessible. If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to reach out and we can talk through options.
Do you work with couples or families?
I don’t provide couples or family therapy. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m happy to help connect you with someone who specializes in that work.
Do you work with court-mandated clients?
I don’t provide services for court-mandated therapy. If you need that level of care, I can help point you toward appropriate resources.
How often do we meet?
That depends on you and what you need. Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. From there, we can adjust the frequency based on your goals, your capacity, and where you are in your process.
Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?
I offer telehealth sessions, which means we meet virtually. Many clients find this allows them to show up more comfortably and consistently, whether that’s from home, their office, or another space where they feel at ease. Being in your own environment can make it easier to settle in and do meaningful work. If you're local to Bellingham, Washington, I do offer some in-person walk and talk sessions at a local park.
